Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how free trials, subscriptions, cancellations, billing issues, and refunds work for SIGNBONA LLC (“SignBona,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy applies to SignBona’s websites, applications, electronic signature tools, document workflows, billing features, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
By starting a trial, subscribing to a paid plan, or using paid features, you agree to this Refund & Cancellation Policy, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy.
1. Personal Plan and Free Trial
SignBona currently offers a Personal plan. When you register, SignBona may provide a 30-day free trial.
The free trial is intended to let you evaluate the Services before maintaining a paid subscription. Trial length, included features, usage limits, and availability may be shown in the Services, checkout flow, pricing page, or account dashboard.
SignBona may modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue free trials at any time, including to prevent abuse, fraud, duplicate trial use, or misuse of the Services.
2. Paid Subscription
After the free trial, continued access to paid features requires an active paid subscription.
Billing is processed through Stripe. Subscription fees, billing intervals, renewal dates, and any applicable taxes or charges are shown in the checkout flow, billing portal, or account dashboard.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
3. How to Cancel
You may cancel your subscription through the Stripe Customer Portal or another cancellation method that SignBona makes available inside your account.
If you need help accessing cancellation options, contact billing@signbona.com before your renewal date. Contacting support does not guarantee cancellation unless the cancellation is completed through the available billing process or confirmed by SignBona in writing.
You are responsible for cancelling before your next renewal date if you do not want to be charged again.
4. Effect of Cancellation
When you cancel a paid subscription, cancellation generally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. You may continue to access paid features until the end of that period unless your account is suspended or terminated for violating our Terms of Service.
Cancellation stops future renewal charges. It does not automatically refund fees already paid for the current billing period.
After cancellation, SignBona may restrict your ability to send new documents, create new envelopes, use paid features, or exceed plan limits. You may retain limited access to your account, completed documents, audit records, billing history, or other records where appropriate and subject to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
5. Refund Policy
Unless required by applicable law or expressly stated by SignBona in writing, subscription fees are non-refundable.
This means SignBona generally does not provide refunds or credits for:
- unused time in a billing period;
- partial months or partial billing cycles;
- failure to cancel before renewal;
- lack of use of the Services;
- unused envelopes, documents, templates, storage, or plan features;
- accidental subscription renewal;
- dissatisfaction after the free trial period;
- account suspension or termination caused by violation of our Terms of Service.
We may, in our sole discretion, issue a refund, credit, or billing adjustment in a specific case. Issuing a refund, credit, or adjustment once does not create a right to future refunds, credits, or adjustments.
6. Free Trial Cancellation
If your free trial requires a payment method and will convert into a paid subscription, you must cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
If your free trial does not require a payment method, you will need to start a paid subscription to continue using paid features after the trial ends.
If you cancel during the free trial before any paid subscription begins, you will not be charged for that trial.
7. Failed Payments and Past-Due Accounts
If a payment fails, your subscription may become past due. SignBona or Stripe may retry the charge, send billing notices, or request that you update your payment method.
If payment is not resolved, SignBona may restrict or suspend paid features, including the ability to send new documents or use subscription-only features.
You remain responsible for any unpaid amounts that are due, except where prohibited by law.
8. Billing Errors
If you believe you were charged in error, contact billing@signbona.com promptly and include enough information for us to review the issue, such as your account email, invoice date, charge amount, and a description of the problem.
We will review billing-error requests in good faith. If we determine that a charge was made in error, we may issue a refund, credit, or correction through Stripe or another available payment process.
9. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you dispute a charge with your bank, card issuer, or payment provider, SignBona may suspend or restrict your account while the dispute is reviewed.
Before filing a chargeback, we encourage you to contact billing@signbona.com so we can review the issue. Filing a chargeback for a valid subscription charge may result in account restrictions, cancellation, or termination, subject to applicable law.
10. Taxes
Fees may not include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for applicable taxes, duties, levies, or similar governmental charges associated with your subscription, except taxes based on SignBona’s income.
Stripe may calculate, collect, or remit taxes where configured or legally required.
11. Account Deletion and Billing
Deleting your SignBona account does not automatically guarantee a refund. If you want to stop future subscription charges, you should cancel your subscription through the Stripe Customer Portal or other cancellation method we make available.
If your account is deleted, SignBona may cancel your active subscription, restrict account access, and retain certain billing records as required or permitted for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, chargeback handling, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and business recordkeeping.
Completed documents, audit trails, certificates of completion, consent records, and related signing evidence may be retained as described in our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Services, by email, through account notices, or by other reasonable means.
The updated policy will become effective on the date stated in the updated policy or in the notice. Your continued use of the Services after the updated policy becomes effective means you accept the updated policy.
